Introducing Shahid Beheshti University's Chinese Language Association

When interacting with the public, Chinese language and literature students sometimes encounter this query: "Do you really study Chinese?" Really difficult! How many alphabets are there in Chinese? What purpose does this language serve? These inquiries demonstrate both the insufficient understanding in this topic and the novelty of this language in Iran. In order to provide a better introduction of the history and contemporary developments of this field, as well as to foster interaction and cooperation between students and the university in order to raise the standards of science, inspire students, and create an environment that fosters the development of their talents and abilities in their field, the Student Scientific Association of Chinese Language and Literature at Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran was established on December 1, 2013.

Introduction of China

China is the most populous country in the world, located in the eastern part of Asia, with a civilization history of 5,000 years. China has rich natural landscapes and a diverse cultural heritage. After economic reforms and opening up, China has become a major global economic power and manufacturing center, as well as achieving significant accomplishments in various fields such as technology and education. China is one of the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and has significant influence on global affairs.

Mandarin Chinese

With 1.2 billion speakers globally and approximately one billion speakers in China, Chinese is the most commonly spoken native language in the world. It is among the oldest languages in the world, with intricate rules and symbols. Chinese characters are entirely paintings that have been converted to scripts. It is sometimes referred to as "ideographic language" or "conceptual language" for this reason. Writing in Mandarin Chinese dates back thousands of years, and the language is extensively used. The Mandarin Chinese serves as a bridge to assist comprehend the rich tapestry of Chinese culture.

How to learn Chinese

Accurate Chinese learning may be tough and demanding, requiring a great deal of willpower and work. It is advised to begin studying by utilising both in-person and virtual training sessions led by Chinese language experts. You may improve your level of Chinese language proficiency by speaking with Chinese speakers, taking part in educational activities, viewing Chinese television shows and films, listening to Chinese music, and making constant efforts to grasp words. As you practise more, your talents will improve.

China & Iran relations

The term "China-Iran relations" describes the social, political, and economic ties that exist between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China. The first formal diplomatic ties were forged in 1937. Since at least 200 BC, and maybe much earlier, the two ancient civilizations were engaged in cultural, political, and commercial interactions via the Silk Road. They now enjoy a cordial, business-like, and strategic alliance.
